Not engaging on social media isn’t an option for a company: You must go where your customers are. And billions and billions of people are on social media.
But the size of your social media audience isn’t an indicator of success. What’s more important is how much your social media audience engages with you and your brand. How they do that varies on who your audience is and what they want. Some might respond to a live show on Facebook, while others really get into a Q&A session, survey, or contest. You must also present a corporate self that is honest and believable to readers.
